You posted 4,000 leaflets. How many turned into calls, scans, or bookings? Without a link between the letterbox and your diary, you are guessing. Letterbox-to-lead tracking means tagging each drop so response shows up somewhere you can count.

Start with a tracked QR

Put one primary action on the leaflet: scan a QR to quote, book, or claim the offer. Print a unique tracked QR per area or headline test. Scans appear on a timeline. Spikes two days after a drop usually mean the post landed.

Keep your usual business phone number on the print. When someone calls instead of scanning, ask once how they heard about you and note the postcode.

Do not ask for three actions on A6. One path, measured cleanly.

Follow print tips so codes scan reliably on kitchen counters.

Match landing pages to the leaflet

If the leaflet says "10% off boiler service," the scan destination must say the same. Mismatch kills conversion and makes tracking look worse than it is.

Tag leads when they call

When a lead calls, ask "How did you hear about us?" once. When they scan, capture name and phone on the form. Tag the source as the postcode or print run ID.

Over two or three drops you learn which areas and offers produce leads, not just scans. flyerfly.co.uk is a simple place to start counting scans from each leaflet batch.
